Really straightforward message today.
There is a lot of yellow tape around over-the-counter pills like Ibuprofen. Time magazine featured an article about how it raises your heart attack risk. It's a tough spot to be in when you are struggling with pain and inflammation but the drugs your taking to treat your symptoms can increase your chances of early death. I know it's easier to say, we will cross that bridge when we get to it, BUT.....health is time sensitive and every decision & & hour counts.
The author of the article said something worth repeating, "taking these pills might not be as benign as we thought". Experts interviewed stated that taking these pain relievers is a very bad long-term strategy and barely a safe short-term strategy so be cautious. Furthermore, people who took pills compared to people who didn't had a 20-50% higher chance of a heart attack. Even hearing loss and miscarriages have been associated with repetitive use of these over-the-counter drugs.
